Awards Show

QbotsOur annual Development Awards return and aim to recognize the most creative and innovative talent within the state of Pennsylvania. What better way to be rewarded for your achievements and hard work than to win a state award? By following our submission guidelines you can compete for these awards which will be given during the Awards Show at Let’s Play PA in February 2017. This year there are 5 total categories: Gameplay, Tabletop, Digital, College Student, and High School Student. Send us your suggestions for friends, peers, rivals, or yourselves to be judged for these noted Development Awards. Read through our simple guide below to find out which category best suites your game.

Competition Categories

  • Gameplay: You developed gameplay that is unique, innovative, and provides an engaging experience for the gamer.
    • All nominations are eligible for this award.
  • Tabletop: You developed an innovative or engaging non-digital tabletop game.
  • Digital: You developed an innovative or engaging digital video game. 
  • College Student: You are a college student who developed an exceptional game.
  • High School Student: You are a high school student who developed an exceptional game.
There are two criteria that each nomination must meet in order to be accepted into the competition:
  1. The nominated developer must have resided in Pennsylvania during the creation of the game
  2. The game must have been completed in 2016.

The Development Awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, February 18th from 6pm – 7pm after the Let’s Play PA 2017 conference. Finalists will be invited to join us at Let’s Play PA and will get a table in our Expo Hall to share their work with the winners being revealed during the Awards Ceremony. With support from our sponsors, this event will be sure to gain attention. The deadline for submissions will be Sunday, Januaray 8th at 11:59pm. For questions or concerns please contact Jason A.
